He operates their family farm, Echo Valley Eggs, about 8 miles outside of Iowa City, raising hens for eggs. But not just any eggs – these eggs are as clean as they come. Their chickens are fed only certified organic feed, which means all their eggs are non‑GMO. And their hens? They’ve never been caged a day in their lives. There also are no machines used in their processing – all of the eggs are gathered by hand and they hand label every carton! They do things the old-fashioned way, and it pays off in delicious, ethical, sustainable, and local eggs. We are so proud to sell their eggs at the Co-op, and we hope you give them a try and support a local family farm!
