Selling to the Co-op: Submission information for vendors
New Pioneer Food Coop is always seeking to expand the variety of products and options that we offer to our customers. We are happy to consider your product and understand that you feel passionate about what you produce. We ask that you read this entire page before submitting your products for consideration at New Pioneer.
What kind of items does New Pioneer carry?
New Pioneer features natural, organic, and specialty items, free of trans-fats and artificial additives, colors, and preservatives. Additionally, we avoid items made with high fructose corn syrup, genetically modified ingredients, and rGBH (recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone).
If your product does not qualify under this policy, please do not submit it to New Pioneer for consideration.
Who makes the decision on which items to carry?
Decisions are made on a department basis at the Administrative level.
Departments are broken down in the following manner:
shelf stable, frozen, and perishable packaged items; bulk items (like coffee, but not including herbs);
packaged cleaners and paper products; pet food
Meat & Seafood
fresh, refrigerated, and frozen meat, poultry, and seafood
(not including canned meat and fish, which are Grocery items)
vitamins, body care, feminine hygiene, and bulk herbs
non-packaged and most packaged ready-to-eat items
(not including fresh spreads, salsas, and sauces, which are Grocery items)
beer, wine, cheeses
fresh fruits, vegetables, fungi, and herbs
How do I submit my product for consideration?
Once you have read the document, product can be delivered to our Administrative Offices at the address below:

For Unpackaged Produce Items:
Please note that unpackaged produce items must be negotiated directly with our Produce Buyers.
For these items, please send an email to email@example.com with “Produce Contact” in the email subject line,
include any pertinent information about your product or your business,
and be sure to include a contact phone number as well.
Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate buyer, but please allow a week for a reply.
When will New Pioneer follow up?
Due to the number of product submissions we receive, it is possible that New Pioneer may not respond to your submission.
We respect your time and will contact you if we need more information or have an interest in carrying your item.
Please confirm that the email address that you submit with your package is correct.
May I resubmit my product for consideration?
Yes, but please wait approximately 6 months.
