Pumpkin Cookies are Here!
Their fans are many,
their season is short!
Stop by your Co-op to snag our famous pumpkin cookies. They just happen to be dairy-free and vegan too (but we bet most of their fans have no idea)!
Your Co-op Stands in Solidarity!
"We would like to thank you and the New Pioneer Food Co-op for your generous gift of water, without which life could not be sustained. We very much appreciate your generosity! This photo is of a few of us at the Mississippi Stand camp taken on October 16, 2016."
Your Co-op was founded, in part, to improve our relations and reduce our harmful effects on Mother Earth. We donated to the Standing Rock Tribe and the local Native American Student Group’s efforts to raise awareness. These water protectors here in Iowa are trying to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline from crossing below the mighty Mississippi. We wouldn't be here or be able to do what we do without your decision to shop at the Co-op!
Make this Sparkling Winter Salad
(Vegan & GF Guests Included)
"We're into the wonderful, grounding part of the year that's all about tradition. We all know what's going to be served on Thanksgiving. The mashed potatoes, the pies, the bird... but once in a while a new pop of color's nice on the table. That's where this comes in – but watch out, it might steal the show." Recipe >
Co-op Election Results
Congratulations and a warm welcome to your newly elected New Pi Board Members Patrick Brickel (right), Kelli Kennon-Lane (center), and re-elected Board member Jon Fogarty (left)! Thank you to all our candidates and to you voters for taking part in your cooperatively-owned, democratically-run food co-op.
Why the Co-op's Different:
We're a good corporate citizen:
our business is an utterly different kind of business.
Unlike any other business you'll find, you get a say in this one. And while we're for-profit, our only purpose for profits is to improve our stores and, in years when we're profitable, redistribute those profits to our owners – that'd be you, Co-op member-owners! We exist to improve our community and our local food system: more details here. Looking for corporate responsibility? You found it.
