Why the Co-op's Different:
Working with local farmers isn't easier or more efficient, but it's so clearly the right thing to do.
We've been working with Calvin since 1988 (that's almost 30 years!!) and other local farmers like him to change agriculture –
it's why we do what we do!
Your everyday choices at the grocery store truly do make a difference! #whyinewpi

New at Your Co-op: Local Pastured Duck Eggs!
Marion, Iowa – On Sale through July 5!
Silent E Farm's free range duck flock's diet is made up of free range forage (grass and insects), non-GMO egg layer feed, and sprouted black oil sunflower seeds. They rotate their ducks through different paddocks so they always have access to fresh, grassy, open spaces!
Why duck eggs?
Duck eggs are about twice the size of chicken eggs, and it turns out duck eggs have a higher concentration of nutrients and protein, with a larger, richer, creamy yolk, and can sometimes be consumed by those who are allergic to chicken eggs because they have a different protein makeup!
