Point of Sale (POS) Coordinator

This skills-based position will be responsible for supervision of direct reports and all workflows related to our current POS system. This includes ECRS Catapult, and implementation of system updates and service based expansions including Supplier Gateway, Loyalty Bot, Webcart and digital shelf tags.

Working Environment:

The POS Coordinator works in an office and retail environment.  This may involve frequent and extended periods sitting and standing working at a monitor. The position requires direct and interactive communication with the IT services team, purchasing/category management team, marketing and promotions team, vendor community, retail and production team members in our facilities. This organization-wide support position reports directly to and works closely with the Purchasing Team Leader.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a POS maintenance environment or similar area including perpetual inventory.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience working with ECRS Catapult
  • Computer literacy and skills applicable to the position and environment including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Database experience.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills – ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and   written forms; active listening; decision making; problem solving and positive engagement and demeanor.
  • Supervisory experience - training, evaluating, directing, documenting
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities within deadlines.

IT Data Services Team Leader - CLOSED

This organization wide Leadership position is responsible for overseeing and successfully maintaining our Information Technology infrastructure system.  The IT Team Leader will actively train, evaluate, schedule, and direct team members to ensure high quality technical performance and exceptional customer service.

Working Environment:

The IT Data Services Team Leader works in a retail, service counter, and office environment.  Direct and interactive communication with team members, located at various locations within our organization including the retail service floor, will be a daily occurrence. The position will involve frequent and extended periods of sitting and standing as well as occasional bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data management, or 3 years minimum in an IT environment.
  • Leadership/Supervisory experience – training, evaluating, directing, documenting.
  • Communication skills – ability to listen, interpret, and teach in a clear and supportive manner.

Cake Decorator (Cedar Rapids location) - CLOSED

The primary focus of this skills based position is on delivering a consistent and quality product made to New Pioneer standards from trusted ingredients. Through thoughtful detail and artistry, New Pioneer Decorators and Bakers are dedicated to making every event and occasion special.

Working Environment:

As a Decorator you will be working in a retail, kitchen, and service environment. This position will require a high degree of manual dexterity and visual attention to detail. It will require frequent use and oversight of commercial bakery/kitchen equipment including mixers, stoves, and ovens. The workplace environment may also include frequent periods of time in walk in coolers and freezers. Direct and interactive communication with customers, prepared foods team members (bakery, kitchen, and service counter) and team members on the retail service floor will be a daily occurrence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a bakery or food service environment with decorating responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with both hands in a fast-paced, creative environment in an efficient and controlled manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to stand and work long periods at a time.
  • Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic associated with recipes and customer order needs.
  • Ability to accurately and consistently follow recipes and meet all New Pioneer quality standards.

Service Team Shift Supervisor - CLOSED

This customer focused supervisory position works all aspects of our full service retail grocery and prepared foods stores. Supporting and overseeing team members to ensure outstanding customer focused service, demonstrated through product knowledge, fresh products preparation, and dedication to quality is our goal.

Working Environment:

The Service Team Shift Supervisor works in a retail, fresh products, prepared foods and service counter environment. Duties may include a combination of oversight and training of team members in cashiering, stocking merchandise, preparing and stocking fresh products for display and consumption in the prepared foods service areas and counters. In this team-based position, you will promote a high level of customer focused service for our shoppers and maintain a safe and productive environment for our employees.  Team oversight may also involve frequent periods of time working in walk in coolers and freezers. As a Bread or Pastry Scratch Baker you will be working in a professional bakery and kitchen environment. This position may require frequent use and oversight of commercial bakery/kitchen equipment including large batch mixers, stoves, ovens, and proofers. This environment will also include frequent periods of time in walk in coolers and freezers. Direct and interactive communication with prepared foods team members (pastry and bread bakery and kitchen) daily and with retail facilities team members on occasion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months of institutional or commercial bakery or food service experience.
  • Ability to work with both hands in a fast-paced, creative environment in an efficient and controlled manner.

Utility Kitchen Support Team (North Liberty location) - CLOSED

This task focused position works all utility and support aspects in our professional production kitchen and bakery. Outstanding teamwork demonstrated through a strong work ethic, efficient task performance, productivity and dedication to quality is our goal.

Working Environment:

This team member works in a utility/support role in a professional kitchen and bakery environment at our North Liberty production hub.  This position will involve frequent and extended periods of time, in a wet and steamy area, operating a commercial sanitation unit as well as general cleaning tasks. A kitchen support team member may also perform food preparation tasks requiring basis knife skills and the ability to follow recipes as well as packaging products for our retail locations. Schedules will include standing, walking, reaching and lifting on a frequent basis with occasional periods of time in walk in coolers and freezers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Verifiable work experience with excellent tenure and attendance
  • Restaurant, institution, or food service experience

Retail - Store Service Team

This customer focused position works all aspects of our full service retail grocery stores. Outstanding customer service, demonstrated through product knowledge, preparation, and dedication to quality is our goal.

Working Environment:

The Store Service Team member works in a retail and service counter environment. This could involve frequent and extended periods of time cashiering, bagging and carry out assistance, stocking dry goods, preparing and stocking produce and food products, as well as meat and seafood. Schedule tasks may also involve frequent periods of time working in walk in coolers and freezers. Direct and interactive communication with customers and team members on the retail service floor, and counter areas will be a daily occurrence.

Positions are limited and may not be available at all locations.
