
Blueberry or Mixed Berry Crisp

2 - 12 oz. pkgs. frozen berries, unthawed, or 1½ lbs. fresh
¼ c. sugar
1 c. flour, divided into ¼ & ¾ c.
1 T. lemon juice
¾ c. oats
⅔ c. brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
½ t. ground ginger
¼ t. nutmeg
¼ t. salt
7 T. chilled butter, diced
Preheat oven to 375˚F.
Combine berries, ¼ c. sugar, ¼ c. flour, and lemon juice. Toss to blend and transfer to a 9-inch glass pie dish.
Combine remaining ingredients (including ¾ c. flour), except butter.
Rub in diced butter with fingertips. Sprinkle crumble over berries.
Bake until berries bubble up thickly, about 1 hour.
Let stand 15 minutes and serve warm or at room temperature.
