Expect the Best
When shopping for produce, we know that quality, selection, and value are a top priority for you and your family. New Pi’s produce department is proud to feature a great selection of organic and other naturally-grown fruits and vegetables sourced locally and regionally whenever possible. Our fresh taste is what you’d expect from produce grown close to home. From lacinato kale to red potatoes, sun-ripened pineapple to local melons, New Pioneer is your source for hard-to-find specialty items and locally-grown, seasonal favorites.
From Iowa Farms to Your Table
Throughout the produce section, New Pi’s focus on local products is clear. We’re proud to feature items from farms throughout Iowa, like flowers and seasonal tomatoes from Friendly Farm in Iowa City and squash and onions from Moorgate Farms in Kalona. Fae Ridge Farm’s fresh basil is a perennial favorite, and for spring don’t forget to try the new arrivals from Maharishi Vedic City.
We’ve got a bounty of potatoes and green beans from Oakhill Acres in Solon and greenhouse-grown Kirkwood Sun Country tomatoes from Hopkinton keep you supplied throughout the colder seasons. James Nisly’s sprouts are the perfect addition to any sandwich, wrap, or salad, and are available year-round! See our list of local producers for a more extensive look at Iowa farms we support.
